LOOP STRÖM FLY RODS
LOOP Ström represents the next evolution in LOOP fly rod design – combining more than four decades of Scandinavian rod-building experience with cutting-edge carbon technology and a beautifully refined feel.
Ström – meaning “current”, the flow of water or energy – is a fitting name for a rod series built around one simple principle: transferring energy smoothly, efficiently and without compromise.
Developed from the innovative seven-sided blank profile first introduced with the iconic LOOP 7X, the Ström Series takes this concept forward using the highest-grade, refined M40X carbon construction. The result is a blank that is lighter, stronger and exceptionally responsive, with impressive recovery, tracking and stability throughout the casting stroke.
These are unmistakably LOOP rods. Smooth-loading and beautifully balanced, Ström has been designed to create a connected feeling between angler, line and rod. Power is there when you need it, but it is delivered progressively and efficiently rather than through unnecessary stiffness.
Premium components complete the range, including Flor-grade cork handles, custom carbon reel seats and REC Cerecoil stripping guides, creating a rod that looks every bit as good as it performs.
THE LOOP STRÖM SERIES
Available across Single Hand, Switch and Double Hand models, the Ström family has been designed to cover everything from technical trout fishing through to modern salmon and Spey casting.
The Ström Single Hand rods combine lightness and precision with excellent recovery and tracking, providing the control required for accurate presentations while retaining the feel that makes a rod enjoyable to fish all day.
The Ström Switch bridges the gap between single and double-handed fishing, providing a versatile and highly responsive rod for smaller salmon rivers, sea trout and situations where additional reach and line control are required.
For salmon anglers, the Ström Double Hand range includes the 13' #7, 13'2" #8 and 14' #9 – covering everything from lighter summer fishing through to powerful modern Spey casting with larger flies and heavier line systems.
